The natural beauty is what makes The Folly Farm such a perfect place to visit. Our estate provides a secluded and unspoiled setting for special events, with over 200 acres of private land surrounded by water on two sides.
The estate is protected by a Conservation Easement to ensure its natural beauty is preserved and maintained for present and future generations. The surrounding land is also protected and undeveloped, ensuring uninterrupted water views to the north, east and south. It is an ecological haven of land and sea, with hundreds of acres of forest, farmland and formal landscaping surrounded by an estimated 3,400 of water frontage and panoramic water views.
Approach The Folly Farm from Drummondtown Road, just past the charming town of Accomac. Drive slowly down a dirt driveway through over a mile of farm fields and forest on either side.
As you proceed towards the main house, the farm fields and forest give way to formal landscaping. Parking for 100 cars is located just before the gated entrance where the driveway turns to decorative pea stone.
The property includes 6 acres of usable lawn, all with surrounding water views out to Folly Creek. To the east, the lawn parterres from the back of the main house to the water and dock. Numerous historic outbuildings remain on the grounds, including the original ice house and dovecote which are featured in the Library of Congress.
Situated on the last deep water of Folly Creek, The Folly Farm provides unparalleled access to the barrier islands and inlet waterways. A unique ability to experience the beauty of the Eastern Shore both by land and sea.
